South Australian Sub-Branch High Point Performance Pony Competition

JUNIOR SECTION - Sponsored by Bluebush Stud

Entry into the South Australian Sub-Branch High Point Competition is open to any South Australian foal recorded or adult registered ASSP.

Only points from ASSPS classes will count for Sections 1 to 7. Section 9 is open to ALL groups of ASSPS ponies and are for points gained in non-ASSPS classes ie: events including breeds, open heights, dressage, showjumping etc. Classes that are excluded from points are Best Presented, Smartest on Parade, Handler, Best trot etc.

Section 1 - "Kooroora Perpetual" - CBA or AA Female  -  led and/or ridden ASSPS classes only
Section 2 - "El Kamil Spindel Perpetual" - CBA or AA Gelding - led and/or ridden ASSPS classes only
Section 3 - "Nell Landseer Memorial" - D Group Female - led and/or ridden ASSPS classes only
Section 4 - E Group Award - E Group geldings - led and/or ridden ASSPS classes only
Section 5 - "Roundelay Memorial" - CBA or AA Colt or Stallion - led and/or ridden ASSPS classes only
Section 6 - "Carolinga Daylight Memorial" - ASSPS exhibit under two years of age - ASSPS classes only
Section 7 - "Clarrie Kerslake Memorial" - Open to ASSPS hadlers any age
Section 8 - JUNIOR AWARD - must be 16 years & under as at 31st December, 2007 - see entry form for further details
Section 9 - Open ASSPS Pony - Points gained from classes and events other than ASSPS

Rules & Conditions

1.The person entering the competition MUST be a financial member of the ASSPS at the time of entering the competition and MUST be
          the bona fide owner/lessee of the pony being nominated.
2.The competition is limited to residents of South Australia.
3.Entry fee of $5.00 per section per pony
4.On receipt of entry form, one card per section per pony will be issued by the High Point Secretary.
5.Points will NOT be counted until payment is received.
6.Perpetual Trophies will be awarded or withheld at the Committee's discretion.
7.Triple points awarded for Royal Shows & Vic Branch State Champs. Double points awarded for ASSPS classes at nominated shows
8.       Cards MUST be forwarded to the High Point Secretary by the 20th January, following the completion of competition on 31st December,              Cards received AFTER that date will be ineligible for points.
9.        Competitors must obtain the signature of the judge or Show Secretary on the day of competition.
10.      If signatures are missing from the performance card, then points for that placing will not be counted unless a Statutory Declaration
          accompanies the performance card when forwarded to the High Point Secretary.
11.      Entry MUST be made on the official entry form and forwarded to the High Point  Secretary, Leanne Colclough, PO Box 301, Euroa
          Vic 3666 and cheques must be made payable to the ASSPS Victorian Branch.

Victorian Branch High Point Performance Pony Competition - 2007

JUNIOR SECTION

BREED CLASSES NOW ELIGIBLE FOR POINTS IN OPEN SECTION

Entry into the Victorian Branch High Point Competition is open to any foal recorded or adult registered Australian Stud Saddle Pony. Excellent prizes and sashes are awarded to winners and runner-up in each section.

Rules and Regulations

1.The performance competition is open to any registered ASSPS pony that is owned or leased by a
          financial member of the Australian Stud Saddle Pony Society Victorian Branch and the South
          Australian Sub-Branch.
2.The competition will run annually from the 1st January to the 31st December.

4.Entry in any section implies that the rules have been read and understood by the entrant
5.One pony per card per section
6.Cards must be returned by the 20th January. Cards returned after the due date will be deemed ineligible.
7.Cards must be signed by the judge or show secretary. If not correctly signed, points for that event will not be counted. If any signatures
         have not been obtained during the competition year, the card can be returned with a Statutory Declaration form stating that all entries are
         true and correct.
8.In the case of a tie, a count back of first placings will decide the winner.
9.The winner of each section will receive a trophy and sash. Runner-up in each section will receive a sash.
10.      Only open events to be put on open cards and only ASSPS classes to be put on ASSPS cards.
11.      Classes that are NOT eligible for points are as follows Best Presented, Smartest on Parade, handler, best trot, best head, pairs, rider,
          dual registered, progeny groups and any class where the pony is not judged as an individual.
12.      Winners will be announced at the Annual Victorian Branch State Championship Show, Bendigo. If winners are not in attendance, an
          alternative method of delivery of trophies will be found.

14.      POINTS WILL ONLY COUNT FROM RECEIPT OF ENTRY.
15.      - Junior must be 16 years and under as at the end of the High Point Year
  - Junior must be a financial member of the ASSPS in their own name or their family must be financial members.
  - Entry Fee is $5 per section
          - Junior nominated must nominate one pony for the year of competition. Only placings gained by the nominated junior exhibiting the
            nominated pony are eligible for points.
          - All classes entered by the nominate combination will receive points ie: rider, handler, smartest, best presented etc. All led and ridden
            classes are eligible for points in both open and breed classes. Placings at closed Pony Club Gymkhana's are NOT eligible for points.
          - All other general rules pertaining to the High Point Competition apply to this section.
          - If sufficient entries are received, consideration will be given to splitting the junior section ie: 12 years & under and 13 to 16 years.
          - A special trophy and sash will be awarded to the winner and a sash will be awarded to the runner-up.
